Gotta ask.... anyone eating dungie crabs this year? What are your thoughts?

Is the water out of Trinidad open as of May 2?

caught/ate some off the pacifica pier last monday and didn't get sick/die, but they didn't taste as good as I typically remember.  Of course, I also screwed up the amount of salt (much too little) in the boil, so that could be my fault completely.

Trinidad is still closed.  There is a small closure, from north jetty of humboldt bay to south end of redding rock, an area that includes trinidad.

Thanks Doug, Bummer. Levels too high still in that area I guess. :smt010

Been eating, enjoying, and giving away dungies in Crescent City. No ill effects.
