Very tempting (going fishing, not eating bag of D's). I'll know better on Sunday.

Hey guys,

Bloodbath here! I saw Deva's hookup for a tuesday so I decided to leave the dive gear at home and hang with the homies for some hook and line action.
As you all know the forecast was 2-4 ft at 9 seconds, it was perfect out there with overcast and not too warm.
We all turned the corner north out of the cove and started picking up fish pretty much at every stop we dropped on. Deva had the hotstick all day and pulled a limit with 3 vermillion rockfish in the mix! 3 verms at spots where we dive and shallow, lol!

Sharklure23 was able to land 2 lingcod on his second day out on a shiny Hobie PA14. Congrats buddy! #beastboat!

Str8fshn showed up late but started slaying from the first drop and I saw him land a nice chunky cabezon before I headed in.

For me? I got lucky with a 16.11 lb lingcod that put up a good fight! I had to use my backup ugly stik and I tell you, the tell tale action of a ugly stik made this fish feel huge! 5 runs to land this beauty of a fish.

Saw fuzzytom and Matt out there too. Sounds like they did well too.

Just one of those epic days!

Enjoy pics.

I hadn't seen this hookup, and just decided I needed a SWS trip, got there and about 6 kayaks were launching, about 5 from Santa Cruz, I think.   I had a below average catch, for SWS that is, though did manage a 20" Boccacio, a few Blues, and 4 underlings.  I was messing around way deep but not too far from the launch, just because it was so calm, but it's a pain to crank up that much line unless there's pink meat on the end.  Whales on the outside, and later way into the cove as I was coming in and wondering how I was going to avoid them when they didn't come up after the last blow.
One of the NCKA crew got a huge ling.
