Hi guys heres a video i put together from whatever footage i was able to capture last weekend.  Not much fish, but i just want to see what you guys think as far as my editing, etc.  I used to mount my cam on a stick behind seat, but this time i tried out my head mount.  Also i am using filmora to edit, and its actually pretty simple, has a lot of features and cool effects. Please go easy on the critique

Also whales at the end, can barely tell, but i see whales at this location every single time.

I know the music might not be your cup of tea but i think its relaxing.

Let me know what you guys think, i'd like to be able to make much more vids in the future.

Nice job, man.  :smt001

Just keep on sharing.  The more you edit and throw out there, the more you learn about what you want to show and how you want to cut it up.  It's a trip, but I end up putting almost all my footage up these days, because I don't even turn the vid on until I'm on the good stuff if I can.  It's all about how you capture the good stuff.

Keep it coming, bro.

Yea thanks eric, i try to capture as much as i can. Filtering and looking for the good part is the hardest. So i write down the times and events when i go through the vid.  Another reason i do that is so i can spend more time fishing rather than get distracted with operating the cam, sometimes i get carried away and forget about changing out the battery which only lasts about 50 mins each.  Maybe in the future i can rig an external battery pack so the recording last at least for most of my trip.

Nice work, Bob. Even if you dont think they're up to your standards, fish porn movies are always better than fish porn still shots.  :smt044  Keep posting vids!

Great video! Camera location seemed good to me. Were you casting to that wash rock? There is a lot of "life" around that area.

camera point of view is good!

i prefer muted music when hooked up, then un-mute after landing.  maybe it's just me, but i like hearing the battle along with the visual.

The video is good. Here are a few things i've learned from editing from classes i've taken online.

1) Find the "Action" of each clip and focus on it.
2) Keeps clips concise and short. (My preference is 5-10 seconds most)
3) Make sure there are no obvious distractions that pull the viewers attention away from what you "the editor" are trying to show them. You should be able to crop it out in the editor.
4) Depending on your software (I use final cut x), you can play with the saturation and color modes.

I really dig the video and the music. The more you do the better you're gonna get. Thanks for sharing!! :smt005 :smt005
