Hello from San Jose!

Hi everyone,

New to NCKA and new to kayaking, but not too new to fishing. I'm a bass fisherman and I recently bought a Wilderness Systems ATAK for my first kayak to get me out on the water after being tired of bank fishing. I'm already learning a lot from reading these boards and I hope to get to know some of you guys.

Welcome aboard dwong. Yeah, I too was a long time bank fisherman as well. I turned to kayak fishing because most of my favorite fishing spots are gone. You will definitely love fishing from a kayak because you can cover more grounds to find fish rather than waiting for them to come to you. I suggest that you take a kayak safety course then take it from there. Hope to see you on the water soon.
