Don't trash ANYWHERE!
Thank you and major props for your efforts. It is beyond me how someone can go to a place to enjoy and not keep it clean to go back and enjoy again. WTF?
I dive for trash in the 'clean' lakes up here.
For me it's a win-win. I get to practice my diving technique and clean up at the same time.
Sad to say it but the Delta will never ever be clean. The best we can do is to postpone the inevitable.
And the diaper thing, there are a few pull outs along Hwy 50 that will guarantee a few disposable diapers in the bushes.
It's really a damned shame.
The video was taken before I took the freediving class. It would have appeared VERY different if I made it afterwards.

Great work on you Chris to clean up the area you fish and love.

That's a great point about all the Save the Delta signs you see and hear about everywhere. Don't see any keep the Delta clean signs. And aside from a few organized cleaning days that place just gets shittier every year.

commendable effort there to all the people on this site that pack out more than they packed In garbage wise.  Good Karma and Mojo Shall bestow you.

Way to take one for the team.

I hereby vow to leave the delta with less trash than when I arrived on every trip.

Good J O B!

I try and do this while out and about, but I'm surely not as diligent as I could be.  Something to always try and improve.

Thanks everyone!  I did some colleciting  today behind Lodi lake, on the Mokelumne while i fished. Filled up my center hatch insert. About 3/4 of a small kitchen trash bag. I've promised myself that I would pick up at least that much each time I go out. I became a game, like a treasure hunt. My fshing buddy started picking stuff up too. It got to be a competition.  Made it a bit more fun.

Good work, again.

There was an old thread on this very topic: http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=28291.0
Fortunately, most of the active NCKA members have the same attitude of leaving our waterways as good or better than when they arrived.

I hear ya Brother! I annually gather trash from one of my favorite tidal creeks, fortunately it is relatively clean but a few years back someone dumped a couple of dozen old paint cans in the creek. So, on a low tide I waded in and pulled em all out and took em to the Sonoma co. dump. I was frikin pissed. some people have no regard for nature. You did a great thing!!!Know That!!

Thank you for doing that.  You're the best! :smt006
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

I recall EricB ( Think it was him? Please correct me if I'm wrong!) doing a similar cleanup on one of his past outings somewhere.  You're not alone in this endeavor.
