WOW WOW WOW! Another super big thank you goin' out to NCKA OG Ravensblack. He just donated what might be called a kayak fishing heirloom. It's a Hurricane Kayaks Phoenix 160. History... SoCal kayak fishing legend and all around great guy, Paul lebowitz "got this kayak to review when he was the editor for kayak fish. He had it for some years and I (Craig) bought it from him two years ago. It has mostly been stored it's entire life. Very gently used. Some scratches from moving the kayak. Perfect shape. 16 ft. Around 58 lbs. I would say. Perfect for day trips. Lots of storage. Really fast." Sounds like a hell of a kayak. I can't believe someone one is going to win this on Saturday. Thanks Craig

Does it come with an Ocean Kayak seat? :smt008
..........Sincerly A-Hull Muggle.

Is there a page or post that I'm not seeing with the rules? I get that we have to use the lures provided and can't use a FF/GPS, but what about my livewell?

After walking away from my computer, I think I may have answered my own question; it might be pointless to have a livewell if I can't use a sabiki to catch bait, nor bait rigs, right?

I suppose I'm asking for the hypothetical situation where I'm planning on catching mackerel on one of the rigs provided and then rigging them to the same lure just for the sake of adding insult to injury.

I believe Simply means fishing only with the lures given to you with no other assistance which would include any other hooks and electrical devices which would give you an advantage.

HoJo is correct, Seabird.  The rules are as follows... You may only use one rod and reel and the lures provided. You may not use any bait, scents or mechanized propulsion system, no sails, no sonar or GPS. Making bait would fall under the no bait clause, sorry. Not sure what happened but I must have deleted the format when posting an update. I'll repost it on page 1 now.

INTERESTING NEW TWIST!

This falls under the adapt and improvise philosophy...

Due to a misunderstanding between Mike and myself the BransonBaits tournament slugs were made in a variety of colors. Since the idea of the tournament is to not allow anyone a specific advantage. The slugs will be handed out randomly without regard to color. BUT, and heres the interesting part... You can trade slugs with another angler if you/they so desire.
