1. Shoot a Striper in the Ocean
2. Dive as many different reefs as possible
3. Get both girls out fishing with me in the kayak
4. Get a new PB of either Ling, Cab, Verm, Sheep, Copper, Halibut, Olive, Grassy, Black, Blue, Ab or Scallop...don't really care which...would be stoked on any of those.  :smt004
5. Have as much fun diving and paddling as possible.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Oh, and shoot a Bonito up here...had 3 chances last year and blew each one.

I doubt I'll accomplish my next goal this year but I'll try.

Catch 10 AOTY species in Monterey County.

If they'd open Lake San Antonio back up it would be pretty easy.  Without it my list is as follows:

Salmon
Rock Fish
Lingcod
Cabezon
Greenling
Striper
California Halibut
WSB
Brown Trout
Rainbow Trout

I should be able to find all these fish within an hour of my house.

Josh

Pretty damn cool!  I spent many hours driving last year chasing Clayman in AOTY and this year I want to spend my time exploring my local waters.

That's pretty damn cool!  Technically, I could nab 7 AOTY species from Lake Almanor alone, but after that, I'd have to drive at least 1 hour+20 minutes for the next two closest species (kokanee and mackinaw), then after that...well it'd be several hours of driving  :smt005.  Unless I was lucky enough to nab a legal-sized striper out of the Sac River near Chico.

1) Limit of salmon from the yak. That damn devil fish has been my nemesis for years now!

2) Join the "40 inch club" with a halibut or salmon.

1) Catch 15 of the 20 AOTY Species from the kayak.

This combo goal includes a LOT of minor goals...

a) Go fishing in the ocean from the kayak.
b) Catch a salmon from a Kayak.
c) Catch a Lake Trout from a Kayak.
d) Meet cool people who fish from their kayaks.
e) Spend WAY TOO MUCH money on gear...
f) Etc....
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

My only goal is to have a bunch of fun chillin' with my A-Hull mugs and SCSS dudes (and dudette!).

Good lookin out Rock Hopper!!! :smt003

I have lots of goals for this year but I'll try to keep them to a minimum.

1. Shoot my first fish...and then some!
2. Catch a 20+ lb ling!
3. Find and pull a 10 inch abalone!
4. Bring a more food out OTW with me so I don't get "hangry!"
5. Catch a new species from the yak- WSB, salmon, pac halibut, steelie, brown trout or sturgeon!

You know it!

Maybe you'll get a WSB at SCI!
