Hey, my name is Dusty...grew up and lived most my life in the Yreka area.  Love to bass fish and ocean fish.  Bought my first kayak last week.  2014 Old Town Preditor 13.  Past few years I've gotten into taking a charter out for some rock fishing. I have a few crab pots I've dropped off of public docks...great time for my 3 sons, success rate though on a public dock is what it is.  Haha. Couple years ago I took my pontoon boat out in Winchester Bay...awesome trip, crab and salmon limit...but won't do that again.  Little sketchy for a pontoon...especially w/o a kicker motor.  I figure I need to get out there on a kayak instead. Anyways, really look forward to reading the info you guys share and look forward to sharing my experiences with you.

Welcome

If you're ever in Redding give me a shout.  I have the same kayak.

I camp at Lake Siskiyou a couple times a year, I'll look you up and maybe get on some fish!

Sounds great.  Doing the CNOA bass tournament next month on Shasta Lake..I usually have Thursday - Saturday off. Only about 20 minutes away from Lake Siskiyou.  Let me know if you go on any of those days and I'll try to hook up with you.

Anyone never try Trout Lake on the Shasta Wildlife refuge should come out.  Opens April-August.  Great bass fishing and some really nice Eagle Lake trout. Let me know if you'd be interested.  Electric motors only and can't keep bass under 22'. So plenty of peaceful action...evening wind will push you away from the launch.

WTTM Dusty, been wanting to check out that lake, let's hookup later on for that and Lake Siskiyou when the campground opens.

Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.
