No idea!  But that's some nice sea glass there.
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

Hmm, if you say so, I'm not familiar with that. They're about 3" long.

Seriously, I think it's a form of jelly fish. There are so many funky shape jellyfish out there. I've seen tiny ones to huge sea nettles that were 12 to 16 ft long in Monterey.

Last year I was diving with DG and JTFishing in Fort Bragg and there were thousands of jellies and at least a couple dozen different shapes and sizes throughout the entire dive.

Some so freaky that they could pass for something from another planet.

Yes, they are gelatinous and appear to be a sort of jellyfish, I wondered if they are complete, what they are called, etc.

I figured one of our members would know!

Maybe some type of Ctenophora aka comb jelly

Yeah, the page of Ctenophora illustrations by Ernst Haekel (travelled with Charles Darwin on the HMS Challenger circa; 1868-1871) are probably as good as your going to get.

Can't quite match the pic sample up though?
