Seriously, I think it's a form of jelly fish. There are so many funky shape jellyfish out there. I've seen tiny ones to huge sea nettles that were 12 to 16 ft long in Monterey.

Last year I was diving with DG and JTFishing in Fort Bragg and there were thousands of jellies and at least a couple dozen different shapes and sizes throughout the entire dive.

Some so freaky that they could pass for something from another planet.

Yes, they are gelatinous and appear to be a sort of jellyfish, I wondered if they are complete, what they are called, etc.

I figured one of our members would know!

Yep..  I have a marine science degree (biological oceanography) and 17 years working for the Smithsonian as a marine ecologist.
