How'd you do wingshooter?

I ended out with one 20.5" striper. It was a very nice day on the water. Wind was minimal.

I made it out to the Port yesterday too.
Launched my 20yr old SIK at the Barge Canal Access at about 9:45a.
It was a warm beauty of a day, with no winds, perfect for a paddle in shorts and t-shirt.
On my first stop I landed a barely legal LMB on a chartreuse and white clouser.
I thought that the day was going to be a big fish numbers day, as that dink came on about my 3rd cast.
The glut of fish did not happen, and I guess I was lucky to avoid the skunk.
Ended up paddling out to the cement docks, met Wingshooter, and fished with him for a couple of hours, before I had to bail at 12:30.
Cleaned up some trash near the ramp, and headed to the drive-thru on the way home.
Short and sweet paddle, with a fly caught bass in great weather - what more could I ask for?

Hate seeing those needles everywhere. Picked quite a few this year during salmon season outa the AR.... Sad.

HaHa good call, I was gonna make reference to the worm inflator, hopefully that was someone's meds improperly disposed of -

Lotta homeless campers at the Port, damn near used to be a sideshow watching drunk fights under the bridge near the lock, they clean them out occasionally..

ironically enough I bought a new worm inflator today at wal mart and the register pulled up a queue to make sure I was over 18 years old. Is that a law because someone could potentially use that damn thing intravenously?

Here's the striper I got. I didn't really want to keep it, but it got pretty jacked up when it took a hook deep in the belly while flopping on the yak.

I am thinking of getting out this afternoon again. Let me know if you will be on the water.
