I'm thinking of doing this stretch next tuesday, wednsday, or thursday. I'll do it in my 'yak or my drift boat. I just need someone to go with. I'm going tomorrow in the drifter and I'll post my results.
I think it's stealth time and yak might fit that bill. Not that I can't be stealthy in my Willy!

I might not make it to the river this weekend so I'll be game for a weekday float. Did you want to run and gun or hunker down in holes? This week is going to see guides pulling out all the stops; their tried and true, that secret scent, that special colored plug or drift technique. Old timers are the ones to watch, the ones who have been around long enough to see the dry cycles and know what and where to fish. Spending an afternoon watching a wizened angler fish is as priceless as actually catching one!

Looks like the wet stuff moving in wednsday. Attaching the kayak anchor set-up monday. Might have the drift-boat filled up wednsday. Might have to do a kayak trip thursday and /or friday. I want to fish all week.
If in a kayak I want to float above, down to the forks, I know the put-in. In a drift boat it would be below the forks as the water flow is an issue. Too much draggin'.
I didn't fish saturday, I was sick. Damn. At least I won money on the COLTS!
Sharpen your hooks! :smt003
