Regardless of the negative parts which there were no shortage of, the underwater video was great. Watching those giant fish get hooked and landed was great. I really liked the water clarity too and vid of that.and kimi

Never seen his show, but I did happen to come across Jim Sammons at La Jolla shores this summer. I was in San Diego for some boring family thing, and had a few minutes to spare, so I went to the beach. Sammons just happened to be landing after a long day of kayak fishing. He had 1 modest sized yellowtail and, of course, some people were interested and asking him questions (not me personally, mind you---I was just observing). I have to say that he came across as more than a bit stuckup.

The best part was that about 5 minutes later, a 20-something kid came crashing thru the surf in his Hobie, looking like a yard sale in the making. Miraculously, he kept it together and landed safely. He had 2 large yellowtail and 1 YFT. It turned out that it was just his 2nd time kayak fishing. And he was a super-nice guy, who was happy to chat with everybody. Maybe Sammons was just having a bad day, but it seemed like the wrong guy had the fishing show...

That kid probably has the Madness still in him whereas Jim has the " Been there Done that" feel.

It'd have to be a HBO show or something. I don't think you could understand anything with all the censoring going on. 

I had stated it wouldn't last long. too much editing and fighting going on. And they moved to different people too fast. Kinda like Wide World Of Sports that when you were into one event they would switch to another thing.

  Bummer, I enjoyed the show. First season editing was just that, first season. I think the show would have matured into a really good show. The "my fishing hole" attitude was the only thing I didn't like about the show. The networks have to have their drama.  If you come to my fishing hole, I am going to show you around and fish with you!
