Where the heck do you find 500 lb spectra around here without having to buy a whole roll?

This kicks butt! Has anyone checked out what the initial cash output would be? I'm sure in the long run it will save a bunch of cash if I decide to tie a bunch, but I still wonder about the initial output.

CHEERS!

UPDATE: I can't find 500 pound spectra line!

Maybe we NCKA can buy a spool of 500 lb spectra and share it out a few yards per person.  It could last years.  I am sure no one person wants that much heavy braid.

Thanks bro!

Maybe making hooks can be a project at Elk this year? Like bring your own stuff and put them together. Kind of like a sewing circle.  :smt005

I've seen and made "home made" stingers using both Dacron and Spectra. Dacron makes a better product, less "floppy". If the link above is the one that I think it is, it recommends using cyanoacrlyate (krazy glue). Don't. Use head cement instead. Cyanoacrylate relies on an anaerobic environment in order to set, and without it, is bound to wind up places you don't want it to.

Regards,
Scott
