2015 JAOTY/JDOTY announcement

I would like to start this post out by saying thank you to all the parents who took the time to take their kids out and get them on the  water and the opportunity to catch a fish. Good job to all of you.

There was a total of 26 Juniors signed up for the Junior Anglers and out of that 19 of the kids posted at least 1 fish. We had 5 Junior Divers and 3 of them posted up catches. Great job to all of you Juniors.

But in the end the could be only one Junior Angler of the Year and for 2015 that would be the one and only MightyQuinn (Quinn), AVQ (Aiden) was a close second, & Cochino (Kristopher) rounded out the top three. Great job young men i truly enjoyed seeing the amazing fish you've posted through out the year.

Our Top Spot on the Junior Driver of the Year for 2015 went to Cochino (Kristopher) who owned the Jr. Diver competition this year. In Second Place was Silent Hunter (Noah), & in Third Place was my very own daughter Skylar (Savannah). I am so proud of all of you. Diving is a whole other beast and to see these juniors getting underwater is truly amazing. Keep it up!!!

I look forward to seeing how these kids progress over the years and become the future of the sports.

This year California Canoe & Kayak was the main sponsor for the Nor Cal Kayak Anglers (NCKA) - Junior Angler/Diver of the Year program. CCK has donated a Hobie Sport Mirage Drive Kayak and I am looking forward to the Awards Ceremony to give this awesome kayak to one lucky kid. The kayak will not just be a stock kayak it will be rigged with YakAttack, Scotty, & a Lowarance Elite 3x.

I have several other cool prizes for the kids that will be given away at the Awards Ceremony.

This is awesome! Congratulations to all the winners and all kids who participated.

Thank you James and CCK for putting this together.  My kid (Jack) is already talking about how he wants to catch more fish this coming year so he could move up on the list.  Crazy!

BIG Congrats to all the kids! Great job!!!! 

I want to personally say thank you to Rider, Wingshooter, Clayman, Naoaki, BigJim, and others that have helped my kid love this sport. My son, has developed an even greater passion for what we all love to do and I am so thankful. My son, MightyQuinn wanted to thank everyone and let him know how stoked he really is!

I am amazed at every kid that is out there and the parents that are supporting them diving and fishing. These are memories that will last a lifetime and it is teaching them to enjoy being outside and live life.

A personal thanks for Rider for all he has done to make the Jr. AOTY program happen.

Mr James Pratt, This is a great thing you did and I love that it encourages kids to get out OTW. I believe you are a pioneer in our sport and your efforts do not go unnoticed. Thank You and team CCK for all you do.

Jayhyuk (Ethan) had a blast on just getting out there and spending quality time on the water with me.  He learned about persistence and patience when fishing.  Can't wait to go out again in 2016

Thanks for the hard work James! Wish I could have gotten Luke out but just couldn't find the time. THis year I will be getting the boys out a lot more and will be posting more fish. THis helps give them a reason to get out and fish!
