Nanook was a stud.  That scene where he is wrestling a seal through a small hole in the ice using a rope (likely made of seal skin) connected to the harpooned seal under the ice is hilarious.  :smt005  He keeps making ground and the seal keeps pulling him back, great stuff.  Natalie said she hated it but she watched the whole thing anyway.

judge a man (or little girl of french heritage) by his (her) actions, not his (her) words.  :smt002

I guess the director took some flak over the years for staging a lot of the action.
It was even 'cast' in the modern sense.
The family is not a real family for instance.
however it is still a great movie.

blue, I don't got no secrets, just take your whipping like a man. I don't really even take the
whole day either. however you slice it, you are in for a world of hurt boy. welcome to our world!

nothing like what mooch deserves after his <gag> spoon comment tho  :confused3:

Mooch is a studly looking man.  Maybe he'd have better luck catching a lady, with a mighty sword...than a fishing pole.

Good one Janice. ha, ha ah ha ha.
Why Do I paddle a kayak instead of a float tube or a pontoon boat? I like seeing where I'm going not where I've been!
Paddle safe and wrap'em tight.

Thanks for the Smile Sky Too Funny :smt005.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I wasn't going to  say anything, but I couldn't help myself...

I am starting to worry about some of you guys too…with all this talk about cuddling, and spooning with jmairey –  Please don’t tell me I have stumbled upon some  kind-of situation like the cowboys in the movie Brokeback Mountain!  :cowboy_smoke:

And what’s all this talk about “I get a weekend day myself, you just have to be willing to pay the price!” business, or “blue, I don't got no secrets, just take your whipping like a man. I don't really even take the  whole day either. however you slice it, you are in for a world of hurt boy. welcome to our world.”

Please tell me you’re just joking about needing permission from your wife in order to do what you want to do.   :BangHead:

Wow, it sounds like your wives hog tie you – you gave up your rights – and married a heffe (are you referring to a cow?) – who is  “ isnt into whipping, but she throws hard objects like expensive antique chinese vases coffee mugs etc no sharp knives yet”.

Well I guess that answers my question  why you like to ESCAPE and go fishing with the boys! :3some:

Maybe Rickey should write a story about the Married Fool, instead of the Young Inuit!   It sounds like it would be very entertaining.

my brother once called himself the 'priest of powder' because he was skiing so much he didn't
get a chance to chase girls for a year or so.

mooch is kind of the 'priest of  pompano' I guess. or something.  :confused5: :confused4: the galahad of guppies maybe?  :smt003

sky, don't you have some work to do?  :busy

or a cute ranger to molest? <my emoticon kungfu fails me here>

or something?  :smt013

and please don't bring up that movie ever again if you want to be allowed to joke with us guys.  :smt018

sky, you haven't said anything a quick spanking won't set right.   :spank

remember, it'll hurt me more than it'll hurt you,  :smt001

this was a weekend of rain, colds, kids earaches, clinic visits, no sleep and no fish or surf.

in short, one to be quickly forgotten! at least until mooch posts pictures of his fish,  :smt013

best wishes on a speedy recovery!  :smt001

Think of catching a woman like catching a fish. :fish  The concept is the same.

You first determine what kind of fish, you're fishing for. (Female)  Then you select the appropriate lure. (clothing)  then you dangle the bait, (how can she resist such an exciting fun filled evening doing such and such with you), once the fish (female) nibbles a little, you make sure it swallows the hook. Then you gently reel it in.

If you feel it putting up a fight, let out a little line,(back down a bit) or else the line will snap, and your catch will swim away. The important thing to remember in catching a prize fish, is patience, and determination.  Don't give up, just because no fish are biting on a particular day.  They next day, as you well know, you could catch your limit.  Also, if you don't use the appropriate kind of bait, you're not going to catch the kind of fish (female) you want.

Once you caught the fish, you can catch and release, or it might be a keeper, and end up being a tasty morsel and edition to your trophy wall!

See what I mean about the similarities between catching a fish and a female!
