I used to love the grub 2"-3" motor oil with red flakes on size 6-8 gomagatsu baitholder hooks with 1oz sliding sinker, I havent fish for perch in years, last I tried was very disappointing, I heard about Gulp Sand worm, I just check them out and soo many variety.

Sizes 2" 4" 6" with different color. Wondering whats the go to most everyone uses.

Thanks!

I love sandworms but still mainly use grubs, pretty much same as you.  Bulldog has a new favorite lure that's been hot for him.  But I didn't tell you.   Shhhhh !!!!

I personally think it's more important to find the right conditions that are hopefully holding fish, more than anything.

It's all about knowing how to read the water, holes, and tides. Go out and explore. Never stay in one spot unless it produces.

Motor oil red or white grub on the smallest jig head you can find with a 1oz sliding sinker.

But the best bait is digging sand worms and casting them out for both striped bass and perch.

99% off the folks i've seen walking the shore this year are using 2" gulp camo worms and swear by them---i try them and have caught fish--but not always

as well as all the various  motor oil kalin type curly tail grubs and various colors of slider grubs

but when its slow --i always can change to the green 2" slider grub and drop of pro cure and get hit...but thats just me
