Freshcats 2016

Thanks everybody who sees and knowledges how much effort are put into these events. I too will be taking a break this year but, just maybe, there will be a Tahoe Salmon Slam in late August. Or it will be a Tahoe FNC. And of course, the King of the Port will still have to go down as it is always too much Fun!

Maybe I'll host a Berryessa/Lake Hennesey/Napa tournament.....

This may sound odd coming from me if you know me. I think the last two years or so we have been so loaded with tournaments they have lost their excitement. Not all of them, but many. I will be happy to not see so many on the list this year. I know the guys who put these on do it for the love of the sport and seeing everyone having a good time, but it becomes such a job for them I fear they will lose the passion for the sport and hanging out at events that are not even theirs. I applaud the guys who have done this for years and promise not to be "that guy" anymore.

With that said, I am looking to be at the top again in AOTY this year, since I took this year off.. Not having so many tourneys will allow me to concentrate on fishing more when I need to and save spending money going to so many tournaments.

Fish n chill Ncka style is a great choice and maybe toss in a little MBF in the mix .. I'm all in for that

The FreshKats series was and has always been a great time, I wish I could have participated more, but a kayak fisher can only do what they can do in a calendar year. I applaud the efforts of the organizers and enjoyed the camaraderie of the few tourney's I attended.
A sincere thanks goes to those that chose to shoulder the burden of tournament organization, you guys and gals deserve heartfelt accolades for making some great fishing memories for all of us!
I look forward to fishing with you all in the upcoming season.
