Beautiful weather this weekend at Tahoe.  Did some PB fishing for trout and kokanee.  Stampede Dam was very slow on Friday.  I caught 1 Mac about 3 lbs. and a few kokes.  Tried Donner that eve for a much better koke bite.  Decided to fish there for the next 2 days.  Trolling dodgers and bugs/ spinners with corn for the kokes and dodgers and worms for the rainbow trout.  The Mac bite at the west end of the lake was insane.  Nothing over 5 lbs but they were a lot of fun to catch.  They just planted Donner with rainbows so anything that looked like a rainbow trout got creamed near the bottom.  They also love worms.  Got to love the good old fashioned worm on a hook with a sliding sinker.  Brought home 2 limits of rainbows, a couple Maks and a handfull of kokes.  Lots of snow still on the ground and a bald eagle gave us a fishing lesson on Saturday.  Really cool to watch it swoop down and grab a fish off the lake.   That is what I call topwater action.

Any pics? Gotta love Tahoe / Donner. My buddy just moved to Roseville and has been scouting some lakes in and around the Tahoe area for future kayak camping & fishing trips. Can't wait to make a trip up there!

Thanks for the report!
