On my 1yr. Anniversary-"NEWBIE VOYAGE" I set out to hunt the cold waters of Lake Chabot, with shop-secret lures, determined to troll-up a BIG TROUT  :smt007 after reading reports of them being caught on the troll.

PIC#1~~The morning was a bit frosty, but NO WIND and sunshine was on it's way.

As I was about to reach my usual "I've had about enough of this, seeing lots of thin-arched-images on the F.F.(that I presume are TROUT!) and six more miles to add to the talley of NOT.I paddle upon the "99th BASSY-LOOKIN SPOT" and toss my 7" senko in hopes of a fish.I begin to reel it back in, I feel a tug and give it some line, as it was quickly responding,I drive it home, hard to make sure the weed-guard disengauged, and the under yak battle was on,till the BIG-TROUT :smt007 spit-out my senko!! :smt010
Pissed as HELL :smt013  I fan cast the area for not and get back to the trout hunt.

I re-deploy the secret lures. After about a hundred more tearful yards, my reel stars to "SINGING MY FAVORITE TUNE!"   as I am getting turned I see it jump up and out and my heart jumped just as high into my throat!  YES!! I scream, as it takes fight again!
Not thinking I was gonna catch,I did not bring a  landing-net :smt012 It was a tough thing trying to get my finger into its mouth when those six-hooks are in it too!

PIC #2~~Them trout got TEETH!!

PIC #3~~The "Hot Tullie Line"

PIC#4~~It measured 20" and my second largest yak'd(ever)

Pic#5 ~~ Taken by shoreangler that "ATE WELL" that nite :smt011

SIDE STORY and PIC#6
As I was paddling to the grounds a boat with two men and a kid asked if I had ever caught here?,as they came all the way from Modesto to fish it.I told them I have not pulled a trolled fish yet,but today was gonna be "the day"!!
Shared the *just heard secret* colors needed for CHABOT and wished them well.
Jacob(father) and his BIG- 21.5" trout that hit along tullie line

Adam -

Nice trout and yes the big one have teeth and are too big for most trout hand nets. I bring a lip gripper for those situations. Never had a trout hit a senko but makes sense. Nice report and pics. No underwater shots?

Oh! and I forgot to get a SHOUT-OUT to:

J.M.~ for the troll speed rule of thumb(1 mi. for each inch of trolled lure)

Tote ~ for the RoRows If you get sore tendons after paddling these are the CURE!!  my first real trip with them (over 15miles) this weekend and I have NO PAIN AT ALL!!
(chance to post a different pic. of fish & RoRows of coarse)

Mooch~~ the jointed lure VS. straight body = one fish landed and four lost.
               brudah,I think you're right,they tend to mis it!! :smt010

good thing that trout spit out that senko or you would never had trolled again in your life!

maybe you should just troll the senko?  :smt002

don't tell us the colors. maybe just post a pic of the lure,  :smt003.

Terry~~it went for a wacky-rigg'd 7" grn.pumkin...and it was a biggun'

J~~ check out the pic. w/lure in mouth.... jointed ShadRap-blue w/orange belly was the lure of the day.

JTF~~you just gotta size down your expectations along with your gear and it's not to bad if you HOOK something of size.
