Stinson & Limantour 1/21

Met up with a buddy from work, at 9 at stinson-- hit it for a bit with a variety of baits, nothing doing. 
decided to bail to Limantour on a tip.
Started out slow, then came on fast.  On the walk down we got about 3 a piece- over a mile walk.  We'd hit one in a hole, then nothing.  On the way back we started just slamming 'em--taking 2-4 a piece in a hole, leapfrogging back just fast enough to make the afternoon game.  Kinda lost count, but think we got between 12 and 18 or so fish a piece. Most were smallish, a couple of nice hubcabs in. I got one red tail, the rest were barred.  Hit MOBF, and bloodworm gulp. Was windy as all get out.

Sounds like fun.I haven't landed any red tails yet this season, we usually see them in the spring with the occasional rainbow.I've tried the gulp stuff with mixed results.The camo sandworm in 2-3" chunks works okay, but I didn't get bit on the sandflea and don't like the (twisting) action.I'm sticking with Kalin's in 1.5 and 2" MO lately for the best results.When they're really in they'll bite just about anything, but those hubcaps can be choosy 

I didnt get there by 10, so just missed you, started on s. end walked less than a mile, only fished for 2 hrs, landed maybe 10, mostly small, all barred, all released, this was the biggest. I was looking for meal-sized, but maybe next time.

This dog was a riot, waiting for each fish and barking at it. Cracked me up.
