Not happening...otherwise the lake will be empty by summer.  There is no inflow and the Potter Valley diversion is broken.

Sunday... ah man you guys are killing me.  I have my sister and brother-in-law in town from New York, so I'll probably be near by doing the Russian River wine tasting thing with them on Sunday.   I'm really looking forward to fishing the Russian agian.

You are absolutely amaZZZing. I have never seen your third arm! How do you do it? Rod...Camera...Net? I think you have a munchkin onboard taking pictures for you. Did you weld an extra seat on you anchor system for him? I am so jazzed for you. Congratulations! Hope to fish with you soon.

Thanks Brent.  The fish made keeping the line tight ez!  I just left my camera on after I got bit and would snap a pic as soon as he put the pressure on, and then throw the camera down.  What is amazing is that my camera still works at all...Optios really are amazing!!!

How many pts for the Net?? Way to keep after em Sean. If Ty and I come up for some weekend are the camp grounds @ mendo still open?

I think there are a few spaces open all year, but I'm not sure.

Since the rubber is up and I don't think to many boats will carry over. What about the section between there and SB? Think the fish will stack up there?

Nope, but there are a few good spots there.  Also the dam isn't going up until Monday.

Hey guys, Sean we (Josh, Dave and I) floated Johnson's down to Monte Rio, starting at noon yesterday and went 1 for 2, with a bonus wild half-pounder, Josh landing a nice chrome wild fish and Dave's fish sawed him off clean, must've swallowed the roe and the teeth cut him off.  I can't go anymore this weekend but from what we saw yesterday you guys might want to try that drift.  Lots of activity in that lower river.  I have the next 3 Fridays off and might have to do that stretch in the kayak, with no rain forcasted should be a nice safe stretch of water with easy put in and take out.  There is a lot of frog water, but a beautiful stretch.

congrats on a personal best, I know you have been fishing a long time, those probably don't happen too often.

scwafish, what kind of gear (line test (main and leader), rod, reel) are you using with that 'secret lure'?

the other guys (mickfish, mahi and crew), were using 10lb leader, 12lb mainline but also not plugs I think?

WOW. Great story and cool looking buck.Those action shots are amazing.I know how hard it can be to fight a fish,work a landing net,and balance on a moving yak.Add trying to take pictures at the same time and...I guess I don't have enough arms  .

J-I was using my funky old Daiwa Heartland-S rod (8-6" 8-12# line...quite a noodle, but for whatever reason I am attached to it) a Shimano Cardiff 300 with straight 10# P-line (no leader),and a Brad's Wee-Wiggler w/ crimped barbs in the color known as BW-03 (chrome w/ a black back and an orange throat).



BTW-plugs probably aren't the best for overall productivity, but I am really learning to dig them and the smack down is simply incredible...I'd rather miss a few to experience the plug take-down....crazy!
