Team Mooch at Day Of The Dead Run

Went out Sunday with the family for the 2nd Annual Watsonville Day Of The Dead Run that raises $$ for the Watsonville Kids Running Club that my daughters run with.

Jayme did the 1K, and Ana and Valentina and I did the 5k.

Course was all on trails in Pinto Lake County Park and was actually pretty challenging with a lot of steep ups and downs.

Our friend's 9 year old son Zahir was running and was hoping to repeat as the champ in his age category so I ran with him to make sure he was all good and to try and keep him moving if he got tired.

Zahir crushed it, ran strong and defended his crown! 

I had been to multiple parties on Friday and Saturday so was surprised that I actually ran pretty well and placed 2nd in my age category, and 20th overall! 

Valentina also got 3rd in her category! 

Valentina and I each got cool little medals for finishing in the top three in our age groups. 

Super fun times for a good cause and I was honored to be sporting my original Team Mooch jersey from 2010!
