Another killer weekend with the group. So glad I bought a kayak a couple years ago  and meet you all. I love my second family!

And yes I ran out of rum. Lesson learned, bring 2 bottles next time. [emoji2]

It takes me 3 days to recover from such Fun weekends! What a blast Clearlake was.
Me and Joe arrived Friday evening with just enough time to do some fishing and scout in. Awesome night time Wx it was but the fish thought otherwise= No bites but it was pretty kool to be otw at night. Flat Calm all weekend too. Got back to camp to quickly grub and joined in around  Riders CampFire for the night time Shenannigans! Woke up Sat. and got to the yaks which we left on the beach where i left my bait bucket and buoy with 2dz. minnows inside the night before, to find it Gone!  :smut013...I already knew Cl's raccoons were no joke but i didn't think they would swim out to get my bucket!  Watever, thank God I brought Mackrel cause we couldnt buy a bite from the bass. Me and Joe could Vouch that the Catfish bite was ON! We peddaled over to Henderson and found some good catfish waters and it wasnt long before the cats arrived. Between me and Joe we caught 4 catfish, 3 landed, I lost 1, all over 30in and weighing up to 15lbs. Just slugs. After Checkin, we chillaxed for awhile and then made it over to the Meatfest! So much Meat! I personally found Scotts Hawian Sausage w/ the Hawian mustard off the hook! You can say we all ate good. All in All, The Freshkats Clearlake was a success and a Ton of Fun. I had a great time with everybody and meeting a few new peeps, nice to meet ya CaddyChris! Thank you Dan Arbuckle for coming out all the way from Lodi to Setup and Demo some boats. Your continued support for our events is Hugely Appreciated. Well done man. Huge Congrats to my lil ninja Naoaki for taking the TOP Spot. HE WAS SOOO HAPPY! More than his usual self! SAC CREW! Congrats to James and Gary too for sealing your spots at the TOC! WTG guys. Jim you should Host more events, your a Great Speaker! WTG bro, you nailed it and I enjoyed getting to fish this time! Lets all Thank Our sponsors for there support. Port of Sac here we come.

I got to try the 135c. That kayak was on the money!!!  It's like a fighting jet of fishing kayak!

I caught my new personal best catfish on the fly.  30"!!!


Saw a ton of elk on the drive in and out.  Probably saw well over 100 each time.

Oh man, I can't believe that I missed seeing Naoaki place 1st.  I can only imagine how excited and loud he was. LOL

Where did you see the elk Scott?  They must have been on the East side of the lake as I've never seen them on the West side!!  I'd love to get up there and take some pics of them!

Yep, east side. Saw 6 herds. One herd had at least 100 in it.

Oh yea I saw a bob cat 10 yards away from me while I was fishing the rocks at Soda Bay. That was a first for me.

I had this guy following me around. Probably why I couldn't get any bites. So cute though. I like otters.
