How do you compete?  Install a blank 2GB or 4GB MicroSD card in your compatible unit, start recording when you launch & drop the card by the weigh-in (you will get your card back that day).  He/She who records the most territory during the regulation fishing time of the LRC Tournament wins!  SUPER SIMPLE!!!  THIS YEAR YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE YOUR OWN BLANK MicroSD CARD!



What Lowrance units are compatible?
All Elite/Mark HDI or CHIRP Models (4, 5, 7 & 9).  All HDS Gen2 & Gen3 units.  Don't see your unit on the lost?  Feel free to PM me.

MAKE SURE YOUR UNITS SOFTWARE IS UP TO DATE!  Here's a link to the current versions of software.  If you're is out of date, you NEED to update it before you get up to LRC.  The newest software has 'Sonar Log Enhancements' that has increased unit performance/functionality while recording sonar logs.

How do I Log Sonar?
1)  Insert blank 2 or 4GB chip
2)  When you launch, from your 'Fishfinder Page' press:
          'MENU' >'Log Sonar' > 'Start' or 'Stop' Logging (you must press 'Stop' or else the file will not save before you turn your unit off)
A RED DOT flashing in the corner of your screen will indicate that you are recording.
For BEST RESULTS, recording times should be about 1 hour long each (start then stop about an hour later, then start a new recording)
There is no need to name the files ... it does that all for you!  I will hopefully provide waterproof instruction cards with leashes to participants like last year.

I'll give it a shot. If I put in a blank card do I lose my navionics charts?

Map cards will only work with the card in the slot so you will revert to whatever is pre-loaded in your unit.  Only the HDS line has 2 slots allowing for a chart to be in there while recording to the other (blank) slot.

I never noticed a 2nd slot.  Is this on the 2nd generation HDS or 3rd generation?

Gen2 9" & 12" as well as all Gen3 7/9/12" models
