Paradise point

I was supposed to fish with ScottV at wimpy's  this morning, but he canceled. I decided to drive down to 8 mile and check out the tule bite. Put in the water at 7:15 and fished until 4:00.
The fish were very active (there are tons of them there), but the bite was kinda slow. I caught 5 bass. Two minis and three keepers. All the tule and the docks out there make for lots of fish. They were everywhere. It's very weedy, so I ran with a Texas rigged curly tail worm in watermelon. They killed a whole pack. Don't be put off by the smallness of the fish I caught. There are pigs out there. Had a few hits where the fish ripped the worm off the hook. I'll be fishing there again. Launch is $6 if you don't have a trailer.

Frogs are money around the docks.

I was doing the lille pad thing with mine. Didnt think to throw it at the docks. Flies would kill it out there! I sat there with BIG fish jumping all around me eating damselflies and dragonflies. As soon as the fly would land, bang! Tons of bait fish too. Lots of competition.

I forgot how cool some of those little island shanties are! Booty Island, and Club Mud! Awesome! Club Mud is for sale!
