In case anyone cares about moon phases in June 2016.

First weekend, Sunday, June 5 is the new moon.
Second weekend, Sunday, June 12 is the first quarter.
Third weekend, Monday, June 20 is the full moon.
Fourth weekend, Monday, June 27 is the last quarter.

-Allen

Maybe we should pick the weekend with the most favorable tides. Either a "halibut" tide, or a decent morning incoming?

Sat, June 4, 9:49AM morning high.
Sat, June 18, 9:23AM morning high.

I don't know what a "halibut" tide is in the open ocean.

Is this trip totally booked yet? I'd love to go if there is still room. I finally graduate college in May so this would be a great graduation gift to myself (unless I can talk Mom or grandma into paying).

I honestly haven't even looked at the tides for those dates. I'd just prefer a nice incoming tide over a huge outgoing, or a moderate tide verses a big, swinging tide.

The weekends of the morning high tides happen to be the weekends of the new and full moons.  So there are big tides those days.  However, it appears the rising tide to the morning high is fairly moderate.  The afternoon low is minues, but it's a moderate swing from the morning high to the low, then the low to the nighttime high is the big current.  This may work out just right for us.  If I look and moons and tides, I like that first weekend since I generally like a new moon over a full moon.

We've done no booking yet.  Islander will contact me this week after they work out availability dates.  Good news is we are waiting becuase they had not started that calendar yet.  so we're first in line.....

Bushy

I don't think there's going to be a list until deposits are made based on the comments I've seen on the thread.

When we are ready, we will open up signups.  Likely you will not be signed up until you put a deposit down.  Stay tuned ...

Interested for sure but $ is a concern here. I have been out of there on the Independence. this kind of trip looks very interesting for sure. 3-4 days is enough for me just putting my thought in on time wise.  thx for posting.

You would not be the first one, Annie.

Yeah, Andy FishMaster came a couple years ago and he was always screaming like a girl every time he caught a fish.
