It was a great day at Fort Ross.  Thanks Rlb123 and ThreemoneyJ for hooking up!  We launched to pretty calm seas with clear skies.  Fort Ross is nice launch if you can handle the Hike to the parking lot!  All three of us caught fish.  For myself all three (two Lings 25" & 28" and a 5lb Verm)were caught on different lures and ones that I had not had success with before.   They were going for the big hammer on 4 oz jig head and silver diamond jigs.   Of course a little live bait helped too!  My larger Ling, flipped when I got him to the boat and the hook came out.  Fortunately he laid on the surface for a moment and I had the wherewithall to throw my rod in the water and scoop my net under the fish!  Whew!  I had already lost two hitch-hikers.

Thanks ThreemoneyJ for the tips on using the swimbait!

It was great to meet up with you two! I had a great time. I ended the day with 3 lings (23, 25, 26"), a nice verm, a canary, a gopher, a juvenile boccacio??? (maybe, I really have no clue what it was), and a mighty 4" sanddab. Pictured below are my fish taco victims :).

nice catch!
I typically go out on the weekends. I'll be sure to post a hookup the next time I go out.
