Friends at NCKA events

I'm not blowing anything out of proportion and I can read, so I have an excellent clue as to what happened.

Because Rider was there, Rider was the person who the "incident" happened to, and Rider simply felt the need to walk away before he decked the dude. Rider didn't feel the need to involve authorities or try to press charges....and neither did anyone else who was there. Why do you?

As far as I can tell, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but Rider was the only person there besides "the Russian" when the ADW occurred.  If someone else was, they haven't yet shared their story.  The stories that have been shared were from earlier in the evening and all universally condemn the Russian for being an unpleasant person to be around and generally killing the vibe of the evening.

As far as why I care- I go to these events often enough.  I sometimes bring my family.  I want events to be safe.  If something happens like this, that is a violent assault associated with participants of the event, then I care very much.  It shouldn't happen, and every step should be taken to make sure it doesn't happen.  Someone behaving like the Russian was is a near lock to have priors, be on searchable probation, parole, or have current warrants.  Notify the police, and go on about your weekend.  Let them handle the violent thugs.

My tolerance for this kind of bullshit is not very high.

I just saw this thread this morning. Boy this really escalated quikly. There has been some extremely non factual things said, to say the least. I brought a coworker to simply because he wanted to go. Hes not loud at work like that at all. Yall think I dont know how annoying that was too? I heard of the incident sunday morning as I was passed out in the trailer sat night, boots on. And after talking to alex about it on the way home sunday he didnt mean any harm or seriousness by it. James did on the other hand and james and i have since spoken about it. I have a 3 year old and family I like to take camping too so I get it. You live and you learn. Obviously not a candidate for future camping trips with me as more chill than that which im sure the people I did get to meet there can attest to. I brought a loudass, my bad.

I've been there before.  Dr Jeykell and Mr Hyde coworkers that you bring around and out of nowhere they pull crazy nonsense.

I'm reading this and the whole truth isn't coming out.

I was there before, during and after the incident. The guy was harmless. Yes, he was making racial comments but he too was constantly being racially bashed (not by me) and was a good sport about it. He just made a dumb move that caught Rider/us by surprise.

I don't condone what he did one bit but I truly feel that he was harmless. I sat next to and peacefully talked to the guy. Heck he even let me hold his "big ass" knife with no hesitation. 

I don't think it's fair to single him out like this.

Its not he said she said, alex admitted he pulled it out like a dumbass. And james got pissed, rightfully so. There it is. Thanks guys for not breaking his face that would have been real inconvenient lol.

I like your way of thinking Doug. I got your back anytime brother. and anyones else who needs it. I've dealt with many situations like this in my past and believe me, it may not be pretty but to stand by and do nothing is far worse to live with. Glad to hear it worked out the way it did though. Life's too short, do it with caution.

As you guys were pulling out I walked over to Old Vlaty and told him he was cool in my book. You both are cool cats. I was guilty of name calling as well as I was calling him Russian bastard and Vlatimer Putos. .. He yelled over to me as they were driving away.. A Bro.. We left a beer on the table for you.. .. My best friends don't even leave beers for me when they leave! .. They just leave.. One took my ling fillets and the other didn't pay his debt.

Wow! some seriously bad shiz going down. Apologies are not good enough. Intentions are irrelevant. Drunk dude pulls a knife and bad things can and will happen. The Russian is banned from all my future events. The Stockwell Rule will henceforth be in effect at all Simply Events. Sponsorship forms will be provided, your friend fucks up = you fucked up. Thanks to Rider for brining this to my attention and WHF for trying to make good. Let's not let this kind of thing happen again.

Well done James. Best to walk away. People tend to get stupid while drinking and weapons around. Tazers, knives, guns, this ain't the first rodeo. Glad it didn't need to escalate.

I spent a good amount of time at the campfire and I think everything has been said that needs to be said about the incident.


I hate to go all green on you guys but throw away your fucking beer cans. We are like 10 feet from the ocean and everyone left that camp a mess for Kiet to clean up after he hosted campfires every night.
