Anything happening lately at the Alameda rock wall? I have to be in Oakland for work Friday morning and was thinking of bringing gear to try it in the afternoon. I'll keep an eye on the wind forecast, but was wondering if anything is biting around there these days.

Cheers,
Brad

skunked when I went out weekend before last, no bites, didn't see anybody else catch anything, save for one guy with what looked like a little jacksmelt that he'd caught by the tires. Didn't even see any birds diving.

Thanks for the heads up  -- maybe better now with the smaller tides?  I'll keep an eye on the wind forecast and make the call Thursday.

Cheers

I haven't fished the Rockwall for a while, but it seems that the wind on the Bay usually picks up in the afternoon.
Did you check the wind and waves chart before you go out.?

Yep.  Was bathtub calm out there when I last went...super easy tides, almost no wind.  Of course, I also suck at fishing, so that may have had a lot to do with the skunk :)
