pokin' around bean hollow 12/30/06

Went to the bean with wife and visiting mother-in-law yesterday and brought my surf rod.  saw two guys from santa cruz pokin' around in the low tide, one guy caught a nice rock fish on squid.  I caught and released a 10" cabbie from the shallows on a smelt.  it reminded me of shore fishing in the rocks before i got a kayak, snags and more snags.
