Looked at the "carp" picture a little bit and I definitely think its a goldfish that has spent a little time in the wild.
Here are a few links with pics.  When they escape in the wild they can be found in all different colors but mostly silver.

thanks for the ID Joe - Kinda figured it was a carp of some sort. I've seen some BIG ONES in Steven's Creek (Cupertino) and theere was one that was as bright (redish) as a Vermilion  :smt118 Must have been a least 30 inches long.
