Are drones a catch & release species or is there a slot limit on them?  :smt002  I have pretty firm emotions/opinions when it comes to one on/over my personal property but the public area domain is still a grey area for me ... till I get one  :smt002
They are like small dogs, you don't really get why people have'em till you get one.

I agree if your flying into/over someone's property to peep/or invade yes by all means shoot it down sik your eagle on it but if your flying it to get aerial video in a public place then it's another story.

Anyways pretty soon the government is gonna ban them anyways so I wouldn't worry
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I'm not on board with gov't banning of them ... I could see them placing greater restrictions on where they can be flown, not that I'm for or against that thought ... maybe a little of both.

I'm going to get me a cheap drone to just play around with. maybe take to camping and catch bluegills like in the video on top. I've seen RC boats catching a catfish.

When you make the effort to find a bit of solitude be it on the water or beach or a hike on and off trail do you want an aerial intruder over head observing and recording your every move?  Unrestricted technology strangles the privacy we cherish.

lol, so if I find bliss in finding and photographing remote or secluded landscape it's somehow less important than you hiking that same trail?

yup.  That's why they are banned in national parks, national wildlife refuges, wilderness areas and many other places.

Yeah, all that means is that the Federal park rangers drew a line in the sand as a knee jerk reaction to a few cited incidents.

It's just a classic user v user battle where everyone is more important than the next guy.

Should be illegal to fly them over any crowded public place. Last year at the motherlode roundup parade (one of the biggest parades in the state). There was a guy across the street from us flying his over the thousands of people packed on the sidewalks. Everyone thought it was great until it dropped out of the sky from 60' and missed to young 6-7 year old girls by only a couple inches. After seeing how dangerous they can be I don't want them anywhere around me.

Look at it this way, both dudes just went viral! It's a win-win for both of them...even if the drone guy put out a hit for the "a**hole" who made the cast of a lifetime :smt005

that goes for everything. Can't base it on 1 incident. that's like telling dog owners hey i don't want your dogs near me because I had a previous bad encounter with dogs and they are dangerous.
