A big THANKS going out to ALLWET from CCKF for this great seat upgrade. Picked up this seat at Costco for $20 and fit it to my OK BIG GAME PROWLER. Wow! what a difference in comfort. Strapped it in temporarily yesterday and took it for a test paddle before mounting with hardware. Didn't feel any less stable even though it raises you up a couple of inches. It also moved me forward a few inches as well which is nice as it makes things easier to reach center and forward. Especially nice to move the weight slightly forward to balance out the ride when the cooler in back is full of ice cold barley pops. :beer3

I've got the exact same boat (right down to the color), so this upgrade interests me. Did you put anything soft(pool noodle, foam block, etc.) beneath the seat to keep the metal frame from gouging the boat ? That's always been my concern, especially when the plastic heats up on a sunny day out on the water. Looks damn comfy !

I was concerned with that as well. The seat actually has about 1/2" of rubber along the bottom rails already.

Wonder if this seat would fit in an Outback?

My guess is it will as I believe you have more room. I can post dimensions if you need.

Since you have a BG Prowler too, I cut out my center tray below the cover to allow storage of rods and such in the hull. Like the rod pod in the Tridents. Would like to soon make a fiberglass cover that's more rigid and hinged on the side.

The dimensions:
The bottom/base is approx 14"x 14" and the seat portion is about 16.5" wide.

Yes. You can view it online but says only available in stores. Cascade Mountain is the brand, i believe.

Ha ha yah. I have it installed in my Hobie Konna using ratcheting straps. You may need to put a foam block under it for support. I may need to try using some of those adjustable bolt things though.

I did the Browning chair upgrade on my 2007 Outback and it works great.

I was at Costco in San Jose (off Almaden) today and they've got it in stock. It looks comfy, but it seem heavy and I'd think that rust will be a problem.
I don't like stuff that sucks.
