Make sure that transducer-ready is compatible with transducer you want to run.

Don't want to hijack the thread, but kind of related. Why most seem to prefer inside installation and not outside - using magnets or external mounts? Is it because of risk hitting vegetation or something else?

this past weekend I removed all the goop from inside but still some around the transducer but not on bottom. I used my outside magnet setup and it detect depth and bottom structure perfectly fine. Although, the external magnet is good it doesn't hold strong when paddling fast or hitting on vegetation. and in some case, the inside magnet would detach from the outside one and it's pain to attach it back on while on the water.

I'm still in a market for a FF with GPS built in. I thought I found one that will fit my T13 but turns out it didn't have GPS built in. Back to square 1 again, doh!!

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this one for my T13.. I probably will need to get the transducer as well.

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it
