I probably should have added, I live in Folsom but I'm most interested in fishing and diving in the ocean.
I dove Fort Bragg last weekend, what a beautiful place.
I can't wait to go back to drop some lines and pull some fish!

Hey Ryan (my name as well), I live in the general Folsom Lake area and as a two year kayak angler, things are pretty tough for kayak fishing in the general area right now due to the drought and especially to this time of year (mid hot August). Folsom Lake can be pretty stingy but I would suggest you find deep points and use drop-shot rigs with Robo-worms for large-mouth although I can't say I've much if any luck this year on that. Cameron Park Lake is a great place for bass fishing. I absolutely slayed the large-mouth there about a month ago in the center of the lake (because of the heat) with drop-shots and texas rig senko's, caught about 9 of 'em. Lake Natoma/Negro Bar has never panned out for me, it's beautiful but VERY stingy. Take a stab at Salmon Falls on the south fork of Folsom Lake. The water is REAL low right now but I've always done well working upstream from the bridge there, catching rainbow trout.
