a River Monster episode mentioned these fish are wicked invasive and were wreaking havoc on south american ecosystems. They are normally vegetarians, but are remarkably adaptable to eating meat. Yike!

Just a pacu  that out grew a tank and someone let it go.i use to have these when I was a teenager,they grow quick.im curious why they are biting "balls cause these guys are vegetarians mainly fruit.i guess someone dangling in dingy water might make it think it was a pair of walnuts
