I hit the port at 6 this AM.  I trolled out to the Washington Boat Club and started spooning for stripers.  The FF was lite up with marks adjacent to the boat ramp.  A few days ago the spoon bite was pretty good…..but not today.  I stayed in the area for about an hour but only found one dink striper.  I moved on trying swim baits and jigs and caught 2 dink bass.  I switched to bass fishing with a Whopper Plopper and found a lot of fish that wanted to play.  I landed 5 bass averaging 14 to almost 15 inches.   By noon the heat was getting oppressive so I called it a day.  A few photos for your approval…

This striper is almost the size of the spoon.

One of the volunteers.

Another fish fooled by the Whopper Plopper.

Way to get out there, Sam.  Good you were able to switch it up when the stripers weren't cooperating.
"Pedo Viejo" is what Antonio called me.
