I remember Mooch wanted to know when they show up...This spot is right off of Sir Francis Drake Blvd. just before it enters Samuel P. Taylor State Park - hard left after going over the bridge a little past Forest Knowles.  I've tried this spot a couple of times and had a hard time seeing any fish, but I guess you just have to be there at the right time.  Redwood Creek in Muir Woods should also be good right now.

Coho just started coming in since it started raining last Friday in Lagunitas Creek and have been seen jumping at the ink wells which is right next to where you are describing.  I have a friend who does the spawning surveys on Redwood Creek, I'll give him a call and see if they are in there yet.  If you have polarized glasses bring them, it can be the difference between seeing them and not seeing them.

When they are there, you will see them.  Glad to see folks using that spot every year when I go down there myself, it used to be impossible to park anywhere in that area to go check em out.

They are in there now (Samuel Taylor Park viewing area), I guess they counted something like 200 fish last week in Lagunitas/San Geronimo Creek, along with some chinook and a chum also.
