Andy, we checked out the Lassen area two years ago.  Had such a good time we stayed an extra three days.  This year we would like to explore to the north.

We like the relative quiet of the campgrounds in the McCloud river area, but with the temps so high we might have want to find a full hook-up camground for the AC.  My only concern with this trip is with the baby as the forecast temps will be in the low 100's.  We plan to stay by water but we can only stay so long before she needs to nap.  We checked out Lake Siskiyou last year but their campsites are really close together and due to their popularity, almost full.
