Not sure. Call them on Monday to troubleshoot that one.

I have a same problem. Its almost not built to handle the Navionics.

Depends on which Navionics.  If it is a Platinum+, then you are correct.  The same goes for the Lowrance HD card, it WILL load it up but it will take ~5+ minutes.  The Navionics gold or Lowrance PRO card is fine.  the HD or Platinum cards are intended for HDS units, not HDI/CHIRP units because they are slower processors.

I believe John is facing a different issue that you, Michael.

John, don't forget to give them a call!  May be a little longer wait time suice it is Monday but they do have a call back method that keeps you place in line & they call you back as soon as your place in line comes up.. I used it last week ... works great.

Either the Navionics Gold or the Lowrance PRO series.  The more graphically intense cards like the Platinum or Lowrance HD card will really slow the system down & are not ideal.

im aware of the long load time on the hd chip.
a blank sd card    i can only log for maybe 10 mins and it locks up. also  i turn my unit on with the hd chip in and wait, it will lock up.
these issues just started. if i take the chips out , no problems.

Haven't had experience with that issue before so my advice is to check with Lowrance & PM me to let me know what the outcome is so I know in the future if this happens.

Maybe a little corrosion on the card contacts inside the unit?
