here is a few pics I took..some folks have seen them on Fb--but for a ncka share ,here are some--wish I had taken more--usually do ,but was so busy having one of the best weekends of my NCKA camping/fishing exp so far..all events rock---for us this one was very cool ..thanks to Ruben!!

Btw the black  paddle I found alone on the cove as we all left Sunday was Mike/Sledges...--if you look at the pics you'll find he lost a few things this weekend  :smt005

bummer for him and me (game clip  :smt002) I told him to tie it on--tie it on---tie on--laces out --laces out!!!!

anyways wish  I would have taken more/better  pics they really were an afterthought..forgive the photobomb of the thread but want to share these
Thank you again Ruben and all sponsors and congrats to C Davis and the class move he made with the winnings ...unreal weekend

topped it off by coming home and gifting two whole legal/tagged abs to my nephews who in turn gifted us live spot prawns from their job/boat and some fresh bonita steaks they caught this weekend miles out -sport fishing.... :smt003
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

People aren’t supposed to look back. I’m certainly not going to do it anymore.”

In the one pic of Ruben holding Ravens fish up to score the winning weigh in-you can see what looks like Luis taking his own picture also--but really he's just holding his arms up to try and dry off  :smt003  :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

the last two sunset pics were us pulling back into Monterey as we came down 1-past seaside  and looking across to P.G..what a way to tuck into bed a perfect weekend!!!  :smt001
Thanks again to all--

Thanks Ruben for setting everything up. I wanted to make a bigger weekend out of it, bring the wife and daughter up and camp out with everyone but work and life got in the way so I had to do a one day strike mission. I'm not the most outgoing socially so I'm not really good at introducing myself but did manage to meet a few nice folks and talk with a couple of familiar faces. Next year I'll make it a family weekend trip. Caught a few short lings and a 27' inch keeper, a nice verm and a cabby to bring home, all in all had a fun day fishing. Had to split early to get home, bummed on missing the potluck and raffle (hope some of you enjoyed my daughters chocolate chip cookies). Always impressed by the NCKA vibes.

This was both mine and christina's first time to Ocean Cove and participating in the Simply Tourny. All I could say is what a Great Venue, Event, and Time we had. Other than the Long Ramp down to the water, its a pretty sweet place to Fish, Dive, and Camp. Lady Christina outfished me this time landing 4 Lings, 2 Cabs, and a couple small RF. I managed 2 lings and a couple RF tourny day and sweetin it up with a Limit of Abs on Sunday. That was Fun. I must Admit, I was Rooting for Andy when he radio-in he had a 36in. on the Board. I have never seen Him up that early and determine to fish :smt005 seriously, Muggles was on a Mission! That was close bro..Damn Craig! :smt044 :smt002 Impressive tho..Congrats RavensBlack!

Thank you Ruben and all the help for making such a great weekend for us all to enjoy, truly Goodtimes. And Lastly but not leastly Thank You Sponsors for all the support.

Had a f*ing rad weekend out at the cove. Bummed that I missed the festivities due to a wedding, but managed to make it back it time to see some homies. Camp started Wednesday with Keit and Kyle. Thursday folks filtered in. Had a wonderful time with DesertDiver & Co., Alfredo, Old#7, Butete, Tote, Cabezedewhateverthehell, Keil, Dustin, 9erFan, Rider, AnnieAYOK, and everyone else that had fun.
Great event Ruben! Kudos!

Sarah promises to get some pics up soon. She's headed to Maine for a photo gig, but working on it.

My first Simply Fishing Tournament and it was awesome!  The wife had a great first time at the Cove and seeing all the fish and abalone come in. The daughter had a great time playing with the older girls.  I had a great time fishing with the experts on a semi-even playing field (nothing beats their experience... but I'm learning)!  Caught a few undersized lings, a gopher for dinner, and a pb 23" Vermillion.  Huge congrats to Craig and Andy... those lings were impressive!

The icing on the cake was winning stuff at the raffle.  Came away with a cool Bending Branches hat and shirt, a new kayak strap, and the VIKING PROFISH RELOAD!!!!  :jawdrop :metal :beer3

Still basking in the STOKE!  Thanks again Ruben, Head Waters, Viking Kayaks, and all the other Sponsors for a kick ass tournament.

Took the Profish Reload out on Sunday for its maiden voyage and it's an AWESOME yak.  Was thinking about getting a rudder, but it doesn't need it.  It tracks beautifully and feels fast on the water even in sloppy conditions.  It felt very nimble and very stable.

Even though I'm a Hobie fan, I'm definitely going to be sharing time fishing this kayak... maybe even trying to surf it.  I can't thank you guys enough!

Thanks to Raydon for the pictures and all the fine folks I met.  I regret not hanging out more with the guys in Group Site 4, but it was a Daddy duty weekend.  NCKA is such an awesome community.

I'm counting the days until next year's Simply Fishing!

'15 Viking ProFish Reload, wasp
'11 Hobie Revo 13, skunk yellow
'12 Hobie Outfitter, dune (I'm the guy pedaling in the back)

Thanks, guys, for the info.

I checked it out again on my lunch break. Took card out of camera, placed it into PC and there is nothing on it. Says 3.9 something gigs of free space on my 4g card. Put card back in camera and it is recognizing it now, but no photos on card.  :smt011

The thing is with storage devices is that unless you write over it, the data is still there even if you delete it.  The key however is to NOT USE THE CARD if you want to recover anything.  Seriously, let one of give it a shot.

AHO is 1 billion percent correct!!!!

When a file is deleted, only the header of the file is removed; the remainder of the files still resides on the media.

UNLESS you start trying to recover it yourself incorrectly, or rewrite over the exist files, or inadvertently re-format it (which some devices will prompt you for if it cant read the card), or do any type of disc compression...

The one who dies with the most toys, WINS!

Damn, does that mean if the pics can be saved whoever saves them will be able to see the naked pics, too?  :smt003

I know you were joking but be assured if the files are recovered I nor anyone else would view them. They are mostly your family photos I assume and I would not want my family photos to be available to strangers or even some friends. You seem reluctant to let me handle it so I want you to know that I will respect your wishes about the content.

I just want to show the donors what good work they did and that we appreciate them.

Thanks,
Ruben

Not at all, bro! I was just kidding. I gave it to my buddy who works for IT here at Medtronic. If he doesn't have time to look at it today I'll grab it from him and get it to you this evening. There are some really nice shots of the winners on there.
