How low will people go

As I dont have a Facebook account I have to do some of my rants here.
We are all struggling to make ends meet but as I see more people use kid(kids) to pray on people's sympathy/emotions it just really pisses me off.

As im driving back heading south on 80 I take the central ave exit.at the light there is a lady with a sign that reads (lost my job need help to feed my baby).
And sure enough I look in the stroller to see if its real or fake, its real.looks to be a child around 3-4 months old.

So I make a living as a delivery driver so I see alot of the bay area.as competition gets more intense amoung the pan handlers I see more people out with kids now panhandling.

Now as im in a company vehicle I cant really express my opinion and I'm in a uniform so I just drive by.

Now to bring kids out and have them out in the elements these people have no shame.these people with older kids running around on the corner or parking lot, their clothes are spotless.my kids as soon as you wash n clothe them matter of minutes there dirty.whatever they eat drink is all over their shirts.

Now if you look at this lady she doesn't seem very worried or stressed where someone in her shoes should be.got her jewelry on smiling. Now if I was in her shoes ill be on the verge or crying, selling all my prized possessions(fishing gear) and all my wants not needs.

I feel like walking up to her taking her picture and telling her help is on the way because im going to go call cps.

Its all too common.  A few months while i was eating my neighborhood Mexican restaurant I saw the same thing.  I watched a mom with a baby for about 20 minutes asking for money. About a dozen cars stopped and gave her cash. I am guessing she made $30 in 20 mins.

I get very annoyed by some pan handlers out on the streets as well. For me it is very bothersome to see someone that you can tell is either on drugs or more than likely drinking the money away.
Its rare that you see some one that looks to be some what stable and hopefully only looking for a hand out for a short period. Which looks to be that ladies case.
I work very had for my money and long hours every day. I think that a person like that is more aware that they are shaming themselves and loss of respect. I would rather release a few of my hard earned dollars to someone like that then someone who has completely given up.

But you never know now a days either. There was a video I saw of an elderly lady panhandling . The guy that felt sorry for her was giving her his work lunch money. Ended up finding out that she had a brand new car parked near by. Dude was furious.

You guys are upset at the wrong people. You should be pissed at those who enable these people. I donate to Salvation army, And the local food bank. Those two are the best places and keep these people fed and clothed.
I have a neighbor that has a house and wife worked for Soladad prison state job that pays well. This Idiot goes to the food bank taking food others that are really needy could use. Not to mention he sells pot to get by as well. He wants to fish with me but no way.  yes this crap pisses me off but they are enabled to do this. And now my grandson has learned this crap. He was supposed to graduate school this yr instead he is homeless in San Diego. Funny people these days don't know what race they are. they don't know what  gender they are.  I just had my two native kidneys removed due to cancer. Lucky all caught in time Can't wait to see what happens next before I check out. Can't wait for Albion so I can forget whats happening and fishing with you all. Sorry for the rant.

I stopped giving money or food a few years back and it bothers me some days---I cant justify my giving $$/food if it helps to perpetuate the ongoing criminal menacing --- no fun for poor old granny to sit at a stop sign with healthy punks and their pitpulls glaring at her for 'help' --pretty sad

Too many services out there that provide what they really need so I give only to the Salvation Army with one exception.  I will give to the honest individual that shows up once in a while at the local Safeway.  He hold up a sign reading "I'll be honest, I need a beer."

         I have been watching the same people standing on the same corners for well over a year now.  It must pay pretty well for them to continue.     Always seem to have cigarettes, nice shoes, etc...    Sometimes they switch sides...   LOL..         
         Maybe I should hire people at 15 / hr to stand on a corner,,,,   I'm sure I could make a profit.

The ones with dogs out in the sun with them are also pretty low imho...  I even saw a guy arguing with the car in front of me when the driver told him he shouldn't have his dog out there in the sun.  Watched some documentaries on how drug users pan handle to keep up their habits and learned that the ones that are up the earliest are usually the heroin addicts who are looking for that first 10-15$ to get that monkey off their backs. 

After reading this, i had to chime in. A few years back when I lived on the Central Coast, i was in my truck at the Walmart in Paso Robles. I watched a young lady with a young boy going from car to car and heading my way. As she got closer, i noticed she dropped a big wad of money and was unaware. when she got to my truck, i told her what i had seen and she promptly retrieved it. She then comes back to my truck and has the gall to ask for some money to help her out..WTF??? Not a thank you or any gratitude whatsoever! i saw the wad of bills as she was stuffing it back in her pocket and it looked like all 20 dollar bills. i then waited a bit only to see her hit up a few more cars and then get into a fairly new full sized truck and leave. i was actually considering giving her a few dollars that i had but after that, never again. Charities are the way to go as they help those who are willing to help themselves..Swallow that.

Theres a guy, about my age mid fifties, in san anselmo outside the peets, he's dirty, does not give eye contact, and talks quietly to himself. He is a tortured soul, he is scared and quiet, looks like he has a good set of teeth, his arms are not covered in sores so I don't think he's an addict. When people walk by, he looks down at the ground and mutters a kind of request, people don't really notice him. He's not a good panhandler. You can tell he has some kind of demon running thru his head just by looking at him. Anyway, one day I walked up to him and said, How about five bucks? He started it cry. I always have a buck or two for him.
