Happiest Place On Earth

One of the reasons Disney tickets are so expensive and that locals don't get too good a deal is to keep the local gangs out as well as other 'rif-raf'.  I'll never go to Great America or other amusement parks for that reason.  I won't even go to the state fair because of the criminal and gang element.  Disney isn't exempt, but it's transparent to me if they do have those sorts of problems. 

Also, the fire works cost over $75,000 a night and more on holidays.  Quality and safety costs money and I'm happy to enjoy the place with the kids and grandkids.

Safeway sells credit card style Disney passes for a few bucks cheaper than the gate.  The best part of this, is that you can get gas credits at their pump.  $100 spent at Safeway, including Disney passes gets you 10 cents off a gallon up to 25 gallons.  That's about $20 for a family of 4 w/2 day passes. 
Buy those with a credit card that pays cash back, mine gives me 2%, and it's another $16 off or so.
