This is really tempting.

For those that have paddled a Prowler 15, how well does it accommodate a taller/heavier paddler ? I've only paddled an older Tarpon 140 and a Big Game with regularity - how does the Prowler 15 compare to either ? I love the stability of my Big Game but its just such a pig to paddle and I'd like to transition to something faster.

I paddle a 15, weigh in at 250, 6'2" and must say; "it glides very well on flat water". It is stable enough, but when a cross wind comes up, it tends to go with the mercy of the wind. Sometimes  :smt013, I need to develop a tack approach as a remedy. A rudder would help mine a lot, me thinks"?  :smt002

The kayak is fast but wet for me at 260lbs. A rudder's definitely a big plus as mine only tracked ok.

I paddle a Trident 15. I agree that it needs a rudder in wind. I have been turned sideways a couple of times so fast I looked back to see what pushed me. But it is pretty fast and roomy, which help with my diver mindset that says I am going to ab dive, scallop hunt, uni gather, spearfish and eat brunch on the water.

The Prowler is a wet ride no matter how much or how little you weigh but a 15 can handle a heavy load & still maintain freeboard to spare. I've had a passenger on mine more than once (disclaimer: not advocating carrying passengers or overloading a yak :smt001 ).

Caleb sums it up pretty well:

The kayak is fast but wet for me at 260lbs. A rudder's definitely a big plus as mine only tracked ok.

Sorry guys, it's currently sales pending with a list of line behind.  I'm wondering if I priced it too low...

Moving on to another yak that can seat two since my oldest boy is now interested getting on the water.

That's when I put the revo with extreme fish mojo up for sale and move on to a Triumph 215.
