Had a great time fishing with Yakhopper this morning. He even gifted me some crabs. Three cheers for NCKA!

Sorry for late report,
Verna decided we needed to stop in Gilroy and spend the rest of the day in the outlets lol!!!
Anyways,
Arrived in HMB around 8:30 am on Sunday to a steady breeze and after calling on the VHF with no brothers OTW, decided to spend the day with my lovely bride (and score major WAF points). Also had a great dinner and evening spent with Pam and Hobie Dave Royston.
Woke up Monday to a steady breeze again, but decided I had to at least try. Had my wife drop me at the ramp, but after she was driving off, I noticed my paddle was in the van :0(
After finally getting hold of her (30in later) I was heading out to fair seas. Called on the VHF and was created by KPD who was fishing west of the jaws. Set my traps and than dropped a hand line to kill some time. Got a lot of taps and an occasional small RF. Turned on my FF and found myself over a massive bait ball. Changed to a sibiki and proceeds to pluck mackerel till I checked my traps. First pull produced 2 legals :0), than another on the second and a bunch of shorts and rocks in the 3rd and 4th. By this time KPD had made his way over to the area I was working, and was hunting Macks. I continued picking away at the crabs for the next hour till I reached my limit. Yelled over to see if KPD was interested in pulling the rest of my traps and also if he wanted any Macks I may have cought. Needless to say, we filled the boat and what a mess Lol!!! (I must have forgotten how slimy those fish can be)
All in all, had a great weekend and really enjoyed my time on the water.
Great to meet you KPD, hope to see you OTW again.

See ya soon,
Eric / Yakhoper
