so last week i find one of my balloon tires is looking really low.
No prob, I get the pump out and try to fill it to 4psi...but the valve is frozen shut.
some delicate application of elbow grease and some anti corrosive stuff later I get it to open, but now it won't close. Eventually in fiddling with it the internals of the valve simply crumble, totally corroded after 6 years of regular use.
Yes, I rinse the cart regularly in FW (I'll be paying closer attention to it now though)

yesterday I ponied up for a new wheel/tire (ouch) but am planning to see if I can save my old one as a spare. The wheel and bearing are still functioning.

Anyone ever disassemble their sand tire & bearing wheel and replace a valve on the tire?

Sean,   I have lots of those cm30    the 12" wheel for a 1" axle.    I make my carts with that particular wheel.

I had the same problem with my wheeleez,  went to the local bicycle shop picked up the tool for about 5 bucks and they gave me extra valves stems from the tires that they were going to recycle.   so far the wheeleez are holding up strong
