I thought it was going to be broiled on a stick over an open fire in a cave.

*No, she didn't get in on it  :smt003  I think she actually DID eat something before i got home, but didn't want to fess up.  plus the cleaning lady had come earlier so she was reluctant to mess up the kitchen.  Me, i had no such reservations

*Taste-wise, Lets  just say it was edible, could have used more salt and herbs, but not bad overall.  the onions was good n crunchy and the cado was fresh.  Nearly 915 by chow time, by then so hungry i'd eat a fried turd if served on toast with a side of hollandaise.

*Fish on an open flame sounds pretty good!  will try that next when similar circumstances arise.

Now that I can make for you.....OK, maybe not the hollandaise.

As a VN guy, i shame the race by my poor culinary showing (bows head . . . )   :smt005
Truth is, I usually only go for one of three preparations, none of which I do well: 1) fried, as in tacos; 2) whole baked, oriental soy sauce style; or 3) raw prep, like ceviche.

As a lawyer, seems fitting to go for a "Paper Chase," and try Poisson en Papillote again.  http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=17992.msg177809#msg177809

I just saw an episode of Martha Cooks featuring one pot meals.  She did a poached cod that looked about as doable as fine-ass Martha herself.  So maybe ima give it a shot next time.
