loose connection ?...mine acts up if there is loose fittings on the battery cable--love how they plum them with tiny weak ass wires...

Vic- Have you tried a different battery to test it? What's the Volts on the screen?

Sounds like battery. Check all your connections from he battery to the FF.

Sometimes the power cable in the mount will get pushed down and then it will not make contact. Make sure the metal retainer is holding the power cable in the right place.
