So a week ago I was reversing out of my slip when my prop nut backed off. It's an odd ball nut.
I'm looking for a 1 1/2" left handed (reverse threaded) nut with a 12 thread pitch on our in either stainless or bronze. I have tried all the prop shops locally and the usual suppliers like Fastenal and mc Master Carr. Any help would be appreciated.

A 1 1/2-12 propeller nut is a huge nut. Did you measure the outside of the nut ? That nut would use a 2 1/4 wrench. Could you describe the motor make and horse power. What is the diameter of the shaft where the nut goes?

Glad to hear you got one, even if it had to be built from scratch.
That's a really cool old boat you run.
