One more suggestion to help with the Potluck issue, DON'T provide plates & utensils. I understood that this is how the potluck was run, so we brought our own AND a big plate of fried chicken (BTW - I didn't get any). If freeloaders aren't going to bring food, they likely won't think to bring plates & utensils either.

As a first-timer last year, I was impressed with the event. The T-Shirt design, the raffle, and the camaraderie of the anglers. The potluck was a bummer, because of the freeloaders. I know you're always going to have some, but I think you're moving in a positive direction with downplaying the competition factor.

We're looking forward to fishing hard for "Braggin' Rights!"
